HemoSurf is an interactive learning programme with over 3000 images of blood and bone marrow smears. HemoSurf includes one of the richest collections of haematological images. In addition, the image quality can be described as above average. The images are accessible in two ways: on the one hand, embedded in a didactic learning concept that enables the user to assess blood images step by step; on the other hand, in a gallery where more than 60 different blood diseases, some with bone marrow smears, can be viewed. In addition, the laboratory data of all clinical pictures can be queried. In addition, well over 100 items of information provide context-dependent theoretical knowledge. The chapter on laboratory technology contains video sequences on how to prepare and stain blood smears and how to perform the sedimentation reaction.
